The goal of Children's Developmental Services is:

  • Ensure the identification of newborns with specific conditions leading to developmental delay and/or disorder
  • Promote the early identification of developmental delay and/or disorder
  • Promote  the provision of early intervention services for newborns, infants, and  toddlers with developmental delay/disorder and for their families  through a statewide, family-centered, community-based, comprehensive,  coordinated and culturally competent assessment, early identification  and intervention system.

Kansas Early Childhood Developmental Services

Kansas Early Childhood Developmental Services

USD 383 Early Learning Community offers integrated services to children birth to fives years of age.  They serve preschool children at five locations, with College Hill and Eugene Field being our largest sites.  All locations are inclusive of all students and receive financial supports through Head Start, At-Risk, Special Education, and community fees.

Common Table Meal Sites

Thrive! is working to reduce poverty by building skills and relationships that strengthen families and individuals. After an initial 10-week training, individuals living in poverty are matched with volunteers from the community to work as a team for 18 months to build the resources needed to improve their lives. The entire family is part of the process. Quality youth programing and a meal are also part of our weekly meetings
